Well what a wild-goose-chase it is
finding this place! They certainly
don't advertise it much, no messaging
or chatline menus lead here I just
found it by chance. Actually I was
looking for the TV guide that used to
be on 432401 (how do you do hash & star 
on here? @h sure don't work) but I
suppose its been deleted because it was 
free, or does anyone know if there is
something somewhere else ..........

I was sitting here watching TMS
updating. He got to 68924 just after I  
did. What happened was the frame
updated in front of my eyes, and below  
it said "Frame has just been updated".  
Good stuff, eh? Problem is, when I
press star00 on here, I lose all my
text. So I've no idea what this will
look like when I send it, but there's
plenty of line noise. Complaints to
your local railway station manager!

Viking Try putting KEYB UK in your
config.sys file or country=044
depending if you are useing IBM or ms
dos. remove the swedish or whatever one 
& replace with the above also check
that the software you are useing is
also config for uk use. before going on 
line type each key & key combienation
in turn & print out as some will show
different when config for uk use.

line noise I can't key <esc>e to get
back to the end of message?? Also the
mailwrap commands for new line don't
work either. And what version of the
Gateway is this? The same as Micronet,  
or an earlier one?

 ] Key 0 just after coming through the  
 gateway for some info. Tis a GEC mini, 
 if memory serves me well. Mailwarp will
 not work, I'm afraid. As for gateway
 version? Dunno, but it's a bit iffy..

TMS...The reason you probably couldn't  
notice the difference in rainfall
between Marple and Manchester is
because of your clothcap. Unless it's
raining fairly hard, a clothcap can be  
quite handy. Incidentally, when the
barber is cutting hair up there, does
he still shave it all off below the
line of the clothcap like they did in
the old days?

ready use KEYBUK when I run my .bat
file for loading the videotexsoftware.  
I have to do this, to make sure that
special characters like apostrof and
quotes appears correctly on screens in  
UK. But to use ESC A-W does not make
any difference whether I run our natio- 
nal keyboard driver or the UK one. No,  
I am sorry, you must be better, if you  
expect to be payed for advice ...

Its a while since I've been on Pratsel  
and its all changed.  Whatever happend  
to the mbx.s that I had STORED?  They
seem to have been liquidated.
 I recently had a note from EMU's CAT
which I could hardly decipher, he finds 
it hard to reach the keyboard while he  
is strung up on the clothes line.  All  
he could say about the bruvvers was

My auto upload sox don't like it.  The

about this..isnt it time cyclists were  
made to have compulsory third party
insurance if they are driving on the
road. My friend hit some dimwit today
who was weaving all over the road, I'd  
say the damage to the car, an MGB GT
will be about 70 quid what with the
respray. comments anyone ??

A cyclopath (mad person on a bike) hit  
my car in the wing,bounced of the
bonnet & landeded on the other side of  
the car! He then got up to my amazment  
& shouted about his bike,until I
pointed out that he had done over #1000 
damage to my car.He came up on the
inside of a stationary bus & was
completly in the wrong with bus driver  
as a witness.gave a wrong name &
address & dissapeared.lucky not dead!

party insurance, mine goes up to #1m.
They DON'T pay out to homocidal MGB
drivers who think its OK to run over a

for his/her psychopathic attitudes as
well as for his/her obvious incompetant 
driving.

Isnt it amazing how everbody immediately
 supports the cyclist and not the
motorist. It was not actually my car, i 
was a passenger. the dimwit was as
drunk as a skunk and suddenly swerved
out into the MIDDLE of the road. He
should have thankedd god I wasnt
driving as I wouldnt have swerved to
miss him!!. I do,by the way drive a big 
motorbike and a car, but mostly the
bike.

I agree that irresponsible bicycle
riders should have to take out 3rd
party insurance. They know who they are.
..the type that spend all day cursing & 
swearing at car drivers. As for the
rest of us (now that I ride a bicycle,  
or attempt to), we can get by without
extra insurance. Cats should be made to 
have 3rd party insurance. I've mowed 2  
down (so far, as another dozen or so
were too quick for me).

accidently sent twice). We're also
waiting for about 100 who have picked
up their m/box to give us a definite
YES or NO, so that we can prepare a

it gets quite complicated. Still

aN Amiga computer to work at a friends  
recording studio some timeago... It
drove me MAD (madder) Get rid of it &
get a pc xt/at Ibm compatable they are

bridgeboard at a cost of #3/400!! so
take it back & get a real computer. I

type plug & disconect the wires if
there are more than 2 note positions.
take the white & blue or the ones
connected to pin nos 2&3 connect them

new BT 600 type plug on the end, It
does not matter which way round.
Insulate the other wires & do not connt 
them to anything.If putting new plug on 
wire direct use outedge pins only.

about the USA.  When my brother was in  
New York for 6 months his kids had to
learn Spanish in primary school.  They  
have Spanish TV and radio for all the
Spanish speakers.  I think TOLERANCE is

Re Englih language by Asians. My job
takes me in contact with many Asians.
The children learn English and speak it 
with a local accent, BUT the mothers
only speak their native tongue, even
with English speakers in the home. This 
is in Scotland, what the rest of the UK 
is like, I shudder to think. I reckon
that we should just repatriate them. Mr 
Enoch Powell had the right idea.

showing all the old Black and white
stuff, remember Emergency Ward 10 ?
Leaving the mainline channels showing
all the colour repeats, (which we are
going to get anyway). I think I will
stick to the satellite Filmnet,

 frames, but every time I try to 'send' 
 I get the 'Type one to send... etc'

 I get a 'Do you want an acknowledgement
 message...  the bloody things gone
 before   there's anything on't frame!  
 Sort it out lad, or else I shan't be on
 here much.  Putting Colour codes seems 
 to queer it too.......
